Almost the end of the semester! The semester felt short and long at the same time, and I cannot wait for winter break to start, but until then, I have final projects/assignments to do.

It’s been a while since I was on my website. Whoever views this, thank you for finding this website, and I appreciate your curiosity.

In 2024, I may have not watched a ton of new movies that came out that year but there was one movie that stood me out and it was Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Personally, I felt like it was the best movie of 2024 because it was written so well and also the life motivation that Sonic tell us (which already happened in the first 2 Sonic movies). To summarize, hopefully Sonic 4 will arrive soon and can’t wait to see with Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles moving forward.

To summarize, the DKC came to my class and talk about audio visuals and how should we plan to construct it.

Hello, this is introduction of the audio I have shared to you guys, it is about the digital culture of online gaming communities and how we as people or gamers in this audio have technologically evolved from playing the Nintendo DS to playing on a variety of devices and the development of Esports. I also mentioned the behavioral aspect of those communities such as toxicity and harassment because it’s a topic that isn’t really talked about a lot with association of gaming communities and I wanted to dive in more into it.

The future of humans and technology can be a very scary reality for some people and I watched movies about what a digital future could look like with the technology we currently possess. The movie that I picked to watch about this is the Disney and Pixar movie, Wall-E, and it’s about two robots Wall-E and EVE and they’re the only robots left on Earth and the movie is about them navigating Earth. In the beginning of the movie, there was the opening scene when the Earth appeared and when it zoomed in, there was a lot of trash covering like half of the planet and it looked like a wasteland almost if the humans deliberately abandoned the planet and migrated somewhere else. Then robots including Wall-E himself were tasked to clean up the Earth and for some reason, he is the only robot left on Earth and unfortunately felt lonely because of that. 

Mostly like from the humans, they sent a robot called EVE to examine any remaining life on Earth and Wall-E has an interest in her. The film depicts a scenario where the Earth has become a dystopian, messy, polluted place and was laid waste by the same technology humans have created which eventually made the Earth almost impossible to rebuild. Even the Earth’s atmosphere is polluted by the trash and the broken satellites surrounding its orbit depicts the trash we as humans may not be able to clean up.

Also, there were scenes inside the spaceship where the humans appear to be very out of shape and presumably had no exercise for years. What Wall-E is showing about a digital future is that technology might become so advanced that we as a society could become very lazy and unable to do any basic physical activity. For example, there was a scene where the captain of the ship woke up and had robots do almost every basic task instead of him doing it himself. Additionally, on a side note, the captain was able to control the day, weather, and time such as switching afternoon to daytime because he forgot to do the morning announcement. We could have a digital future where we can absolutely control everything and make anything what we want.

Hello audience members if you’re reading this blog. For the past few days, I have been laying out ideas for what images I want to have on my website for you guys. I have had different ideas crossing my mind on what I should appeal to you guys and I may have figured it out. It’s not very innovative but at least for me it could be something that could appeal to you and other people that may stumble upon this site. 

The first image I will present is something I want to be very recognizable to the people, something that will have people saying it’s from my website, an image that will be associated with my website and make it synonymous with who I am and what this image represents. I plan to use this image to be my favicon for my website to have you guys see that my vision and identity is different from everyone else. I personally intend to have this image or this favicon in case to be unique and to be the main image of my website and that way people will recognize it and say it’s from my website. I want this image to help spread the word on my website and hopefully reach out to even more people. 

The favicon has three bars going up which represents going upwards or forward and that is what I want my progression of my personal website to be at. The second image I have presented is just a header image that will be in place when you open up the website. It’s nothing really fancy but this is what I started out for a header image. In the future, I could redesign my header image to be detailed and have possibly different texts but also simple but right now, I’ll start off with that. 

I used LogoMakr and Canva to design my favicon and header image. First with LogoMakr, it’s a really good and simple digital tool to help pitch my design for my website images and it’s free to use and download, however, I had to pay if I wanted my downloaded image/logo to have high quality. Then with Canva, it’s a good tool to make my header image for my website and it’s not very complex to use at all. Had little to no issues using their tools and I felt confident with picking out designs for it.

In conclusion, I want my website project to have the best outcome for myself and my audience and I will or have achieved my goals because of my implications I brainstormed and designed with what knowledge I have. I will have achieved my goals if my website gained some sort of following or traction via people talking about it on social media.

Opening/Introduction

Generative AI is a form of artificial intelligence that we use to create new stuff such as text, photos, music, and a virtual environment. It also helps us answer any questions that we sometimes struggle with and give us a definite baseplate for us to form our thoughts. In this case, I asked ChatGPT one of the biggest questions out there that is; are we alone in the universe? This question is huge considering many people can have very different opinions on that question, some say yes we are alone while others say, no we are not alone, the answers may vary.

Benefits of AI

Speaking of the topic of AI, there are a lot of positives with using AI in everyday life. One of them is the possibility of vastly changing creativity in the workforce, it can help us give us a better understanding of the jobs we do today and also gets us to brainstorm our ideas faster and also get our work done significantly faster than we did before the emergence of AI. It can be a great tool if it’s used properly as a brainstorming tool. 

Biases

When I was using ChatGPT to figure out the answer of my question, it gave me a pretty neutral answer, it never stated that “yes, we are alone in the universe” or no, we are not alone in the universe”, it just stated that we don’t know if we’re alone or not. It never believed in an opinion about it. Also, when explaining the answer, it never gave me the source of the information that it gave me, it just talked about the stuff that we built to explore space so I assume it wasn’t copyrighted since I found out that none of the explanations were copyrighted

Conclusion

In summary, ChatGPT/generative AI gives you a non-biased answer to a question that is based around opinions. It gives you explanations that are non-copyrighted from other websites and also explains the answer to the question in an organized way. Lastly, it’s a good tool to help brainstorm ideas and expand our thoughts and knowledge.

Hello, my name is Joshua Reyes and welcome to my website. This website is about my beliefs and analysis on sneakers, especially in today’s world of style and sneakers and how people’s choice of footwear has changed throughout the years. I want to cover this topic because I realized how much people’s style and especially their choice of shoes have evolved as they move on in their lives and also the years that have passed. My goal is to inform my audience about the history of sneakers and how the sneaker culture has changed throughout the years because it’s a subject that isn’t talked about enough and it’s also something not many people have great knowledge about and this is basically what my website is for, people who are interested in sneakers/style. 

I also have other different goals that I want to achieve with my website such as building a sizable following of what I do and what I talk about on the site. Occasionally, I could start writing up facts and some brief history about the most well-known sneakers out there such as the Air Jordan 1 and Nike Dunk Lows, two of the most popular sneakers on the market right now. My primary focus for the website is about the sneaker culture of today but I can also branch out to sub-topics of sneakers such as men’s fashion.
